NOTICE OF VACANCY

BUSINESS AND GENERAL ADULT MATH TUTOR

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF THE STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER
STATUS: PART-TIME, NON-EXEMPT, HOURLY

The role of the Business and General Adult Math Tutor will be to assist the director with the College's tutoring needs for students served by the Student Success Center in the areas of business and mathematics. This position is part-time up to 12 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides individual tutoring in math and business to students served by the Student Success Center, including all areas of business courses and all levels of mathematics.
• Organizes, promotes and facilitates study groups in business and math, collaborating with faculty as needed.
• Organizes and promotes lab sessions during which students stop in to work on assignments or ask questions.
• Other duties assigned by the director of the Student Success Center.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree in Business Administration or Education with concentration in a math.
• Demonstrated small-group teaching experience.
• Demonstrated ability to tutor advanced mathematics and business courses including Calculus and Business Statistics.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule as needed.
